How to prepare

Easter chickens made from the home-made sponge biscuits can serve as a refreshing snack or a pleasant dessert for both the young and older. And you can have a blast preparing them together with your children.

I case they are not in your jar already, you will have to prepare the home-made sponge biscuits.

Prepare the cream beating the softened butter with powdered sugar or honey (choose the amount of sugar to your liking) and gradually mix in the soft curd cheese. The cream should be mostly curd cheese. You can let it cool off for a while in the fridge.

Now for the chickens. Glue everything together using the curd cheese cream. It will serve well for gluing the biscuits as well as the decorating elements. Couple the round biscuits glueing them with about a 0.5 cm layer of cream. Lay one biscuit as a base building the body and head using the cream on top of it (always a couple of biscuits glued together using the cream). Stick the almond flakes into the head to create the crest and the beak. Glue the wings to the body using the softened chocolate. You will use it to paint the eyes as well.

The curd cheese cream will soften the biscuits and make them more supple making the chicken a fantastic dessert. But we guarantee that they will not be decorating the Easter table for more that 2 hours.
