About the race
It has been a couple of years since a bunch of young gentlemen from Jívoví decided to walk up the local hill called Holy vrch after the New Year’s celebrations. They thought it was a good idea, and the fact that each year more and more people from the villages surrounding the hill joined confirms it. Recent years have seen around 500 participants. People come from all directions. They wish all the best into the New Year, and one of the villages always provides a hot soup.
So I said to myself: “How about running around the hill visiting each of the villages?” I had that idea in my head for about two years with a couple of my friends supporting it. That is how the idea of having a race came into existence…
Year 2016
106 Racers entered the trial, 0 year both in the individual and two-member relay race.
Year 2017
113 Racers entered the actual 1st annual edition of the race determined to run the complete length of the track as well as 36 races divided into relay teams. So there were almost 150 participants on the track!!! The track record was set at 1:24:27 by Zdeněk Černý.
