Ingredients

60 g Prunes
180 g Nominal wholegrain spelt flour
1 egg (whip, 30 g into the dough,
smear with the rest)
a package of vanilla sugar (18 g)
30 g cane sugar
50 g hazelnuts
2 g baking powder
sprinkle with hazelnuts
smear with egg (remainder from dough)

How to prepare

Would you like to know what a half cookie is? Are you wondering what to treat give your children at Easter?

Try these eggs.

Chop the prunes coarsely and mix them with 60 g of the flour. Blend everything as finely as possible. Then add the remaining flour mixed with the baking powder, ground hazelnuts and the other ingredients. Knead them and let the dough stand. In the meantime, chop the sprinkling hazelnuts relatively coarsely using a knife (2-3 mm pieces).

Roll the dough flat (4-5 mm). Smear the cut out shapes (Easter egg in our case) with the whipped egg and press the wet side into the chopped nuts. Then place the eggs on a baking tray with a sheet of baking paper. You can gently push the nuts into the dough using the palm of your hand. Bake at 170 °C.
