Ingredients

140 g wholegrain spelt flour
140 g fine wheat flour
160 g butter or baking fat
120 g powdered cane sugar
100 g peanuts
1 egg
decorating:
plain chocolate with added salt
peanut powder unsalted

 

How to prepare

Mix the unsalted peanut powder with flour and the remaining ingredients kneading a supple dough. Let it mature in cold for at least 1 hour. Roll it on a dusted surface and cut out the stick shapes. Bake them at 170 °C for about 12-13 minutes. Once cooled off, dip them in the chocolate. The plain chocolate with added salt, which is popular nowadays, makes a very interesting combination. Use the classical procedure melting the chocolate on a water bath dipping the sticks in it. You can finish by sprinkling them with the peanut powder.
