One of the ingredients of Nomina outdoor is barley. This crop has been part of the human diet for centuries. It's known that barley porridge was the food of gladiators in antiquity. It was certainly for its nutritional properties, although it wasn't called that back then. Another ingredient is oats. The fibre of both barley and oats consists of a balanced ratio between soluble and insoluble components. A significant part of the soluble one is the polysaccharide beta-glucan, which is highly valued for its positive effect on the body. Spelt wheat is used in the porridge in its whole grain form.
Brown rice, or more commonly natural rice, is a partially hulled rice that retains much more B vitamins, more valuable minerals (iron, magnesium and phosphorus) and, of course, fibre than white rice.
Chia seeds among other things contain over 30% fibre, with both insoluble and soluble components. In this way, the salvia hispanica seeds nutritionally complement the other ingredients of the porridge and make it a healthy and nutritious snack not only when travelling.
Despite its undeniable qualities, the porridge is NOT SUITABLE FOR CELIACS AND A GLUTEN-FREE DIET.
