Puffed nut crescents (gluten-free)

Discover the magic of our puffed nut crescents – light, fragile, and hollow inside, which literally melt in your mouth. These crescents, reminiscent of ladyfingers in texture, captivate with their authentic nutty flavor. They are the ideal festive dessert that disappears from the plate before it cools down.

  1. Grind the nuts, mix with flour, baking soda, and sugar. Add butter and work into a stretchy dough. Let rest.

  2. Fill the dough into crescent molds. Fill only halfway, as these are puffed crescents that will expand in volume.

  3. Bake at 160 °C for about 15 minutes. The crescents will puff up and remain hollow inside. In character, they somewhat resemble ladyfingers. They are as light as air. They will be dusted in a flash. Excellent paired with freshly whipped cream.

  4. Our tip: For preparation, we recommend a silicone crescent mold. Due to their fragility, they release easily and reliably.
