Spelt buttermilk hotcakes

Prepare delicious whole grain hotcakes, which will enchant you with their delicate taste and lightness! The key to their perfection is time! 

Directions

  1. To make the whole wheat flour pancakes as light as air, take your time and mix the flour and buttermilk a few hours in advance ( perhaps the night before, but realistically 3-4 hours is enough). 

  2. In the morning, stir in the other ingredients and whisk the batter thoroughly. 

  3. You can fry the hotcakes, but you can also bake them in a lightly greased, thick-walled pan. You can decorate the finished hotcakes to taste, but they are perfect with grated apple or pear. Sweeten with chicory or maple syrup.
