Spelt pie with apples

Thanks to the combination of butter, juicy apples and cinnamon, every bite literally melts on the tongue. This pie is suitable not only as a sweet end to lunch, but also as a delicious snack during the day. Enjoy.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C, hot air programme.
  2. Grease the pie pan with butter and dust with semi-coarse flour.
  3. Clean the apples and quarter them. Make several slits in each quarter lengthwise, but don't cut through completely.
  4. Beat the softened butter, salt and sugar together. Gradually beat in the eggs and finally add the flour mixed with the baking powder.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, cover with apples and sprinkle with cane sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Bake the pie in a preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, until lightly golden.
  7. Once baked and cooled, you can sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar.
