Pancakes from NOMIX with strawberry žahour (gluten-free)

Fluffy pancakes made with NOMIX – with no need to add fat to the pan – served with a silky-smooth strawberry žahour (Kahuda). A quick breakfast or light dessert that anyone can make! The recipe was prepared for us by food blogger ohmyshhef Charlie.

Directions

  1. Whisk the egg with the sugar until slightly foamy. Add the oil, milk and vanilla extract and mix well. Stir in the NOMIX and mix into a smooth, medium-thick batter without lumps. Leave the batter to rest for a few minutes so that it thickens slightly.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Make small pancakes (1–2 tablespoons of batter) and fry without adding any extra fat for approximately 1.5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  3. Stack the finished pancakes on a plate and keep them warm.
  4. Method – žahour: Wash the strawberries, remove the stems and cut them into smaller pieces. Mix the strawberries with the sour cream in a 1:1 ratio. Blend everything with a stick blender or blender until smooth. Add milk according to the desired consistency – less for a thicker žahour, more for a thinner sauce. Strain the blended mixture through a fine sieve for a silky-smooth result. Arrange the warm pancakes on a plate and pour over the strawberry žahour. Add fresh fruit, a little maple syrup or chopped nuts to taste.

Our tip: Part of the sugar can be replaced with honey or date syrup.
